Create a Skiline account – instructions

There are three ways to create a Skiline account:

A: Registration in the app

Step 1 – Tap “Create account”

1. Open the Skiline app. You’ll see the login screen with the “Username/Email” and “Password” fields, as well as the buttons for Apple, Facebook and Google.
2. Don’t enter anything there. Instead, tap the text “Create account” at the very bottom left (at the bottom right, it says “Help?”).

Step 2 – Enter your login details

A form with five fields stacked one above the other will open. Fill in all the fields:

Field	What to enter
First name	your first name
Last name	your last name
Username	choose your own; you can also use it to log in later
Email	your email address – the confirmation email will be sent to this address
Password	4–16 characters; tap the eye icon on the right of the field to show and check your password

Then tap the “Continue” button directly below the password field.

If the password is missing or isn’t 4–16 characters long, the red message “The password must be between 4 and 16 characters long.” will appear. Enter a suitable password and tap “Continue” again.

Tap “Cancel” (bottom left) to cancel registration.

Step 3 – Add your basic details

On the next screen, enter your basic details:

Field	What to enter
Country	preselected (e.g. Austria); tap to choose another country
Postal code	your postal code
Date of birth	three separate fields side by side: day (DD), month (MM), year (YYYY)
Gender	tap “Female” or “Male”

Below the fields, you’ll find links to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Notice, if you want to read them.

Then tap the “Create account” button.

Privacy: Your Skiline activities are public by default and visible to your friends. You can change this at any time in your privacy settings.

Tap “Back” (bottom left) to return to the previous step.

Step 4 – Get started and confirm your email later

• You’re logged in immediately and can start using the app right away.
• You’ll receive a confirmation email (double opt-in) at the address you provided. Open it and click the link to confirm your email address. If you can’t find the email, check your spam folder too.

B: Social Login (app only)

1. Open the Skiline app.
2. On the login screen, under “OR”, tap one of the three buttons:
   • “Sign in with Apple” (black)
   • “Log in with Facebook” (blue)
   • “Log in with Google” (white)
3. Confirm the login with the respective provider.
4. If needed, add any missing basic details (country, postal code, date of birth, gender – see A, Step 3).

Social Login is currently available only in the app. You can still log in on the web: enter the email address linked to your Social Login account and log in using the code sent by email.

C: Registration on the web

1. Open app.skiline.cc and click “Web” in the navigation at the top center (between “Home” and “App”).

2. Enter your email address. You’ll receive an email with a code or one-time link – enter the code or click the link.

3. You’ll now see “Welcome” with your email address and the prompt “Please provide us with some basic details about yourself”. Fill in the fields from top to bottom:

   Field	What to enter
   First name	first field (unlabeled)
   Last name	second field (unlabeled)
   Date of birth	in the format DD.MM.YYYY or using the calendar icon
   Gender	in the selection field: Female, Male or Diverse
   Country	preselected; change if needed
   Postal code	your postal code
   Preferred language	e.g. German

4. Password: Scroll down. It says that a password will be generated for you automatically. You don’t need to do anything – you don’t need it, because you log in using a code sent to your email address. You can view it using “Show password”. If you later want to set your own password, do so via “Forgot password” on skiline.cc.

5. Consents – tick the boxes:

   • ☑ “I agree to Skiline’s declaration of consent and Terms and Conditions.” – required, you can’t continue without ticking this box
   • ☐ “I would like to receive the Skiline newsletter …” – optional

6. Click the “Continue” button at the bottom right – that’s it.
